Don't bet that just because you're innocent you are safe from the feds. I don't know how Homeland Security recruits, but they could do better.

A local school employee said a rough run-in with a couple of Homeland Security officers has left him with a strong sense of insecurity.

Leander Pickett, a teacher's assistant at Englewood Elementary, said he was manhandled and handcuffed by two plain clothed Homeland Security officers in front of the school Tuesday for no reason at all.

His crime? Asking the detectives to move their car because it was blocking the bus loading zone.

Homeland Security initially said Pickett's account is inaccurate, but they will investigate. Eye witnesses say Pickett is right. He's gonna sue. Good for him.
