Product Placement And Failure

I've noticed there's a connection between Hollywood movies and failed companies.

For many years, the only airlines every shown in movies were Pan Am and TWA. Where are they now?

Based on recent movies, I predict dire circumstances for either Dell or Apple. Maybe both will crash and burn.

While I'm sorta visiting Hollywood. A couple questions. Why does the hero always drive my car? I owned a '66 mustang convertible and they seem to be the dominant vehicle in all movies. Technically, they use '64 1/2 - '67 Mustangs, but most often '66s.

Second question - why do the cars being filmed have one tail light out? Just asking.
