Senator Clinton: I didn't vote for a 'pre-emptive war' in Iraq

This from Raw Story.
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), a Democratic presidential front-runner, said in an interview today that she did not vote for a 'pre-emptive war' in Iraq.

Clinton "insisted her 2002 vote for a resolution authorizing an invasion of Iraq was 'not a vote for a pre-emptive war,' but was instead a show of support for further United Nations-directed weapons inspections," writes Manchester Union Leader senior political reporter John DiStaso, who conducted the exclusive interview with the former First Lady.

From that 2002 resolution. You be the judge of what Clinton voted for.
This joint resolution may be cited as the "Authorization for the Use of Military Force Against Iraq".

...

(a) AUTHORIZATION. The President is authorized to use the Armed Forces of the United States as he determines to be necessary and appropriate...

I've made my decision and its: bullshit you didn't! The title of that resolution isn't "Authorization for the Use of Weapons Inspections Against Iraq"

When are politicians gonna realize the US has pretty well educated people. We can read for Christ sake.

And does America want someone who won't admit a mistake, even before being elected president, in the presidency?

I just wrote about '08 and wasn't gonna do it for a few more months. Dammit. I'll try harder to resist the temptation.
