Very informative, not this one

I can't link to Salon for some reason, but I did enjoy these quotes from the article.
“Leadership doesn’t care about us,” said one officer, who requested that his name be withheld to avoid punishment for his comments.

(He also asked that his name be withheld for fear of retribution.)

Why did I enjoy those quotes? Because they are straight forward. None of that "because he isn't authorized to speak publicly." bullshit. They speak anonymously because they know they'll be punished/demoted/ostracized. Its self preservation pure and simple.

Salon has fine writers.
