A blogger's tragedy

I wanted to post this separate from my last entry so each has the dignity and perspective it deserves.

Dennis lost his sister-in-law to an apparently deranged man with a gun who killed her and then took his own life.

Dennis has been as jittery as a mouse in a room full of cats as he's tried to finish writing his latest book. Of course, that book is of no importance right now.

This is a distinctively sad situation, but one happening by the hour to others in Sudan, Iraq, Gaza, Israel, Afghanistan and far too many other places.

The killing of innocents is a plague on mankind and often, as in this case, there doesn't seem to be anything anyone can do to stop it.
