US to cut food aid due to soaring costs

Now isn't this just fucking great. The administration will spend billions to kill people and not spend billions and kill people more slowly.

The United States will drastically reduce emergency food aid to some of the poorest countries this year because of soaring food prices, The Washington Post reported on Saturday.

I came up with some better (worse) images but try very hard not to turn people's stomachs.

I'd almost forgotten the term "compassionate conservative."

That image, of a boy who appears fairly well nourished with a damn nice plate of food in front of him hardly makes the case for hunger.
