U.S. investigates food prices for troops in Iraq
I'm sure US companies' war profiteering goes clear back to the American Revolution when companies overcharged for black powder and sold the military rancid meat and fertile eggs.
The only question is: How much was the military overcharged.
Federal agents are investigating whether several large food companies charged the government excessively high prices for supplies to U.S. troops in Iraq and Kuwait, administration officials said Wednesday.
