music

Never forget your musical roots.

A 13 Year old neighbor girl introduced me to Joan Jett.

One of my sons turned me on to Pink Floyd.

Another son brought my attention to Lynnerd Skynnerd. Freebird! Possibly the best song ever.

If you have a slow computer as do I, turn off other programs. They'll fuck up the sound.

I'm indebted to all who've suggested music to me. You were never wrong.

I had taken an illegal leave from my Marine corps unit and returned to what I felt was some warranted time with my friends.

I couldn't find any of my buddies anywhere. Finally, someone told me everyone was at the Lynnerd Skynnerd concert at U.D. arena.

All of the doors were locked up tight as a drum when I got there and I had no ticket and no prospect of getting one because the show was sold out.

I began waking circles around the arena figuring sooner or later a door in place that big had to open.

Sure enough a security guard opened a door to get some fresh air. I ran up to the blindside of the door and gave it a good hard yank. He flew out into the parking lot and I stepped inside just in time to see Lynnerd Skynnerd.

One of the best shows I've ever seen...

Two weeks later came the plane crash.

I still consider it one of the best uses my soldiering skills ever saw.

That does sound great. I had a somewhat similar experience wth The Greg Allman band. Terrific.
