I learn something every single day

This is definitely not something I wanted to learn today. I didn't realize Molly was fighting breast cancer.
Liberal Texas columnist Molly Ivins has been hospitalized in her ongoing battle with breast cancer, her assistant said Friday.

Ivins may be able to go home Monday, Betsy Moon said.

"That's the day the doctors said," Moon said. "We're not sure what's going to happen, but she's very sick."

Ivins, 62, had taken a break from her syndicated column, which appears in nearly 400 newspapers, but resumed writing earlier this month.

Regular readers of SPIIDERWEB™ know I love Molly. She has brass and snark and all the other attributes of a great political writer. And, had America listened to her, she could have saved US and the world from Bush.

I specifically chose a pic of Molly in better health, showing her terrific smile instead of one where she is bald from chemo.

For those uninitiated, chemo is the shits. It sometimes works, but the pain the patient suffers is tremendous and constant. Never wish chemo on your worst enemy. As an afterthought. Chemo refers to chemical (medicine therapy) it isn't the same as radiation treatment. Just wanted to clarify that.

Be well soon, Molly.
