How else will the destructive effects of growth be stopped?

I'll expand if I may. Why do taxes get raised? Why can't government function on the growth or decline of the economy? If everyone is making less, the streets should fall into disrepair. If everyone is making more its possible to build that new library.

Perhaps I'm naïve and don't understand government finances even though I have a degree in business administration, but the taxes collected are a budget. Live with it you fucking fools.
