Maliki and Bush discuss future Iraq-US relationship

I'm sorry, but doesn't a fucking video link-up seem more appropriate for Amway or Tupperware distributors than between two heads of state, one of which is occupying the other's country?

But never let it be said Bush is reluctant to actually expend effort.
Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and US President George W. Bush held talks on Wednesday via video link-up about the future relationship between their countries, Maliki's office said.

Their talks also focused on economic, political and security developments in insurgency-wracked Iraq, his office said.

The talks come ahead of a meeting later this month between Iraqi and US leaders during which they will negotiate a new agreement on their countries' relations and the long-term presence of US forces, according to Iraqi officials.

This is one of those posts that will come back to bite me in the ass if I congratulate a Democratic President on taking the time to communicate via video link-up. Gotta remember not to do that.
