Palin advises Obama to 'declare war on Iran'

The charismatic Ms Pee is now trying to become an adviser to Obama. Bless her fucking black heart.

President Barack Obama won’t be re-elected in 2012 unless he can “toughen up” on national security, according to Sarah Palin. The former Governor of Alaska believes that declaring war on Iran could help the president get re-elected.
Moose, bear, beaver, belugas, people. Seems Ms Pee is predisposed to killing to achieve an end. Now assuming she always eats what she kills... ew!

I need to be perfectly clear on this if I haven't already. Killing people should never be a God damn political ploy. Anyone who suggests it as a desirable option should be viewed as a lunatic and avoided the same as one would avoid that lady at Wendy's® who is having a conversation with herself.

By the way, the lady at Wendy's® appeared to be winning the discussion with herself.

Obama: Yes, I inhaled—that was the point

Please don't take this as an endorsement for Obama or his actions.

I'm posting this because (1) its a great response on Obama's part, (2) to allow you to feel superior because you never did anything stupid when young and (3) because I haven't seen anyone else post about it.
Earlier this week in New Hampshire Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke candidly about his past experimentation with drugs and alcohol in high school, and on Saturday—after a question on medicinal marijuana—Obama was prodded a bit further and asked whether or not he had ever inhaled.

"I did," the senator from Illinois said to light applause. "It's not something I'm proud of. It was a mistake as a young man."

The question was a reference to a line made famous by former President Bill Clinton who, while admitting to trying marijuana, said he did not inhale.

"I never understood that line," Obama continued. "The point was to inhale. That was the point." Duh! [emphasis mine]

Hypocrisy! "Judas Goat" Obama Stops Wearing Flag Pin

He's right, of course.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he doesn't wear an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for "true patriotism" since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Asked about it Wednesday in an interview with KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Illinois senator said he stopped wearing the pin shortly after the attacks and instead hoped to show his patriotism by explaining his ideas to citizens.

"The truth is that right after 9/11 I had a pin," Obama said. "Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security.

"I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest," he said in the interview. "Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testament to my patriotism."

A fucking yellow ribbon magnet on your car is not patriotism nor supporting the troops. It's posing.

NOTE: This is not an endorsement of Obama. Right now I lean toward Grover from Sesame Street. Truth be told, I always vote for Grover. And you may note Grover has no American flag lapel pin. Grover has principles.

This is teh funny

I don't buy this for one fucking second and neither will anyone else:
"I'm LeBron, baby. I can play on this level. I got some game."

-- Sen. Barack Obama, quoted in the new book Obama: From Promise to Power by David Mendell, likening himself as NBA star LeBron James as he walked around the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.

Obama is soooooo fucking street. Hahaha.

Shamelessly stolen from Taegan Goddard's Political Wire, but I do admit it.

I'm OK?

No lawsuits?

Obama says Congress will fund Iraq war after expected Bush veto

If this is an example of Obama's intelligence, he doesn't deserve to be a Senator let alone President. He's offering Bush the spending bill he wants on a silver platter.
If President Bush vetoes an Iraq war spending bill as promised, Congress quickly will provide the money without the withdrawal timeline the White House objects to because no lawmaker “wants to play chicken with our troops,” Sen. Barack Obama said Sunday.

“My expectation is that we will continue to try to ratchet up the pressure on the president to change course,” the Democratic presidential candidate said in an interview with The Associated Press. “I don't think that we will see a majority of the Senate vote to cut off funding at this stage.”

Obama, D-Ill., has made his opposition to the war a centerpiece of his campaign and has used it to differentiate himself from rival Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., who voted to authorize the use of force in Iraq.

In effect he's saying, "So sorry, Bush. Just continue to act like a petulant five year old and veto this bill. We'll acquiesce and give you what you want." Fuck! That isn't even good parenting.

"OK, Johnny, I know you don't want to eat your spinach, but keep refusing and you won't have to eat it."

The ass is campaigning here. Its all posturing. He's saying he opposes the war, but is telling Bush not to worry. Anything Bush wants he'll get. Some opposition.

I've not been a big fan of Obama's. There are more qualified Dems available and Obama's appeal is the equivalent of an American Idol. He isn't deep-down opposed to the war. Its a political game. Watch what he says and read between the lines. He's no more anti-war than Bush.

Obama does deserve some credit. He's a very good politician. He knows how to play and win the game. All the contenders are playing this game, but he comes off to me as more ingenuous than most. Should he be the nominee and be elected, I hope I can eat my words.

Obama-Clinton-YouTube

Won't bother to link to one of the hundreds of stories. I'm sure you all know it. You can also find the video if you wish.

And I won't bother with the issue except to say it appears someone made a clever, passionate video on his own time in support of his candidate which was also a severely career limiting move.

He's paid the price for his actions and whether he quit or was fired really is of no consequence unless he wants to draw unemployment compensation or wants an unblemished CV.

I don't "do" '08, but this guy does

For some reason Barack Obama is all over the news. Fear of him? Admiration? Jealousy? I have no idea, but here's a good analysis of what he faces.
