You most likely have little power over what Americans are told by the news. If there are problems in the Mid-East and Saudi Arabia is in the middle, you may never know. That is assuming you only watch Faux News.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who is "about to become News Corp's fourth largest shareholder" according to DC Bureau. (h/t to Reconstitution 2.0). With the addition of a Wahhabi point of view, Fox News becomes at last truly fair and balanced. Don't touch that dial.

When you are in there at 25% you exercise enormous control over what people are told or not told. You certainly are less likely to get the same 'fair and balanced' news you love so much. Hahaha. Fair and... nevermind.

Credit where credit is due

When someone at Faux News' ad agency came up with the "We report, you decide." slogan, it was a master stroke.

Unfortunately, it wasn't true, but that's not important.

Faux News is an arm of the Republican party and rarely disguises it.

Its still a monster slogan. Kudos.

Bush's Book List Gets More Islamophobic

This "must read IMHO" reminds me of Faux News watchers and Limbaugh acolytes. They only want to hear what they believe. They narrow their vision to their ideologies and refuse to recognize reality or any arguments which contradict their own opinions.

What is remarkable about all of these books is -- much like the cherry-picked and manipulated intelligence stovepiped to Bush in the run-up to the Iraq War -- both their extraordinary ideological narrowness and their utility in the pursuit of a neo-conservative agenda, especially in the Middle East.

Yeah, I'm probably guilty of this behavior too. I do try to consider the "other side's" position, but can't contort my body to emulate it.
